- Journal of Research on the Lepidoptera. In 1995, a newly discovered moth, a chocolate-brown specimen found only in northern Pakistan, was formally named Saturnia codyi in honor of Dr. John Cody (Hays, Kansas, U.S.A.) in recognition of his work through art, writings, and lectures to bring awareness to the public of the need to preserve habitats of Saturniidae.
